Для фильтруемого ящика включить фильтрацию:
Настройка\Сеть\Получение\<Имя ящика>\Общие\Фильтровать сообщения
больше n байт
Теперь при каждой проверке почты будет вылезать список писем на
серваке с выбором действий. Чтобы его не было, а всё было на
автомате, надо создать еще один фильтр, с условием, под кот. будут
подпадать _все_ письма (типа содержит точку в любом из заголовков) и
положить его в самый низ (действие ему поставить "Скачивать"). Ибо
елинственное, что я смог выудить из мануала по КМылу - то, что если
письмо не подпадает ни под один из фильтров, то действие над ним надо
выбирать руками (идиотизм ИМХО).
ЗЫ. Может, это у меня /dev/brain глючит, и всё это можно делать
как-нибудь более нормально?

Юникод -- не заклинание. Многие gtk1- приложения отлично работают в
unicode locales.
