Уважаемое Сообщество!
Помогите пожалуйста! Не могу настроить звуковуху
мать ASUS A7N8X Deluxe (nForce2 SPP Ultra 400 / MCP-T)
звук на борту (цитирую мануал) Realtek ALC650 6CH with built-in HP amplifier,
Integrated APU, SoundStorm/Dolby Digital (AC-3) Encoder
# lspci
...
00:05.0 Multimedia audio controller: nVidia Corporation nForce MultiMedia
audio [Via VT82C686B] (rev a2)
00:06.0 Multimedia audio controller: nVidia Corporation nForce MultiMedia
audio [Via VT82C686B] (rev a1)

почему Via VT82C686B? в мануале Realtek ALC650
пытался поднять модуль snd-via82xx
# modprobe snd-via82xx
Note: /etc/modules.conf is more recent than
/lib/modules/2.4.21-w4l-up-alt4/modules.dep
/lib/modules/2.4.21-w4l-up-alt4/misc/snd-via82xx.o: init_module: No such
device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including
invalid IO or IRQ parameters.

на диске к маме звуковых драйверов для Линуха нету
дистр ALM 2.2 обновлен из Sisyphus

libalsa-0.9.6-alt1
Что делать?
Заранее благодарен всем кто выскажет свои соображения по этому поводу.

попробуй отключить ACPI
Но у меня это уже не помогла начиная с ядра 2.4.21-alt-14

Я вот тоже этого не понимаю. Точнее, понятно, почему не ALC650 - это
чип аудиокодека, который, вообще говоря, может быть и другим, и это не
отразится в списке PCI-устройств. А вот почему Via - непонятно.
По результату lspci не видно точного идентификатора - просмотр
/usr/share/pci.ids показывает, что это 0x006a либо 0x006b, а
0x10de,0x006a есть в списке в snd-intel8x0.
Попробуйте использовать модуль snd-intel8x0; если и так не получится -
покажите вывод lspci -vx.
