Вы что, в иксах под root работаете ?
Запускать Drak надо из-под обычного пользователя, предложат ввести пароль root, после чего всё запустится. Удачи. А в иксах нельзя работать под root, см: http://docs.altlinux.ru/releases/faq/pt05.html#id2882019
