Если имеется в виду md Software RAID - можно.
Один из способов описан в Software-RAID-HOWTO, но он не совсем
корректен и не сработает для файловых систем, не имеющих возможности
уменьшения размера.
Другой вариант (через failed-disk) описан в Boot+Root+Raid+LILO
mini-HOWTO; этот вариант должен работать с любым типом файловой
системы. Замеченная проблема - суперблок RAID при этом получается
какой-то странный; RAID работает, но EVMS на него ругается, предлагает
исправить, но не может (в текущей версии EVMS это сломано, в
evms-devel предлагался патч для исправления, но его ещё пока не
рассматривали). При использовании только средств ядра без EVMS проблем
не замечено.
Для загрузки с корнем на RAID нужен mkinitrd из Сизифа (в Master 2.2
это ещё не работало, хотя в ядре поддержка есть). Только не
настраивайте /dev/md0 (номера не обязательно должны идти
последовательно без пропусков) - иначе наступите на баг в ядре 2.4.20.
Наличие RAID в mkinitrd определяется по присутствию /dev/md* в
/etc/fstab - при необходимости можно подсунуть альтернативный fstab
через опцию --fstab <file>. Простого --with raid1 в данном случае
недостаточно - автозапуск не сработает.
