Где-то 2 года назад у меня это всё бегало. Только рабочие конфиги дома, а
на работе потом появлюсь уже в сентябре. Напишите приватом.
Это сервер, который создает интернет-вещание (музыки в формате mp3 в
частности). В общих чертах: на сервере создаются 1 или несколько каналов.
К каждому каналу подключается вещатель, который передает данные серверу в
определенном формате. К каналам могут подключиться все желающие его
слушать (пример: в xmms открыть url вида http://machine:ip). Для каждого
канала можно настроить характеристики передачи данных (скорость чтения и
т.д.) и кому разрешено подключаться. К примеру, у меня было 3 канала
музыки: классика, поп-музыка и рок.
Вся информация есть в пакетах icecast и ices.
