Похоже, что выводятся не группы, а системные пользователи с
UID<500.

Посмотрите Пуск - Настройка - КДЕ - Система - Менеджер входа
в систему - Пользователи
Ваш логин там есть?

Иконки для X-login находятся в /usr/share/design/faces/
