Вот, таки решился я...
Первое с чем столкнулся:
В конфиге /etc/X11/XF86Config-4:
ModeLine "1024x480" 65.00 1024 1032 1176 1344 480 488 494 563
-hsync -vsync
(что за разрешение такое: 1024х480?)
xvidtune при этом кажет:
"1024x768" 94.50 1024 1072 1168 1376 768 769 772 808 +hsync
+vsync
Экран кажет нормально.
При прописывании параметров от xvidtune в /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
Экран немного сдвинут... и xvidtune кажет:
"1024x768" 94.50 1024 1072 1168 1376 768 769 772 808 +hsync
+vsync
Непонятки какие-то... 8-0
Далее попробовал с помощью videogen сгенерить timings для fbset...
вышло так(это исходя из того что показывал xvidtune):
$videogen -fb -m=1024x768 -mdc=94.50 -mvf=85 -mhf=68.68
Далее скормил это все fbset:
$sudo fbset -g 1024 768 1024 768 8 -t 16276 192 32 35 2 32 3
Казец... экран потух... типа мода не совместимая...
Отсюда кучка вопросов... как прописывать Modeline "правильно"...
Как таки найтить параметры для fbset?
P.S. Подробно то что кажет xvidtune:
Pixel Clock (MHz) ... : 94.50
HDisplay............. : 1024
HSyncStart .......... : 1072
HSyncEnd ............ : 1168
HTotal .............. : 1376
VDisplay ............ : 768
VSyncStart .......... : 769
VSyncEnd ............ : 772
VTotal .............. : 808
flag ............. : 0x0005
Horizontal Sync (kHz) : 68.68
Vertical Sync (Hz) : 85.00
