Ничего подобного. Именно для Athlon то, что есть в ядре, не работает.
http://vcool.occludo.net/ - тут в основном софт для Win, но есть
описание, как это работает. Версия для Linux якобы тоже есть, но
поддерживает только KT133.
http://www.nt.phys.kyushu-u.ac.jp/shimizu/download/download.html - тут
лежит FVCool, там есть поддержка KT266/333/400, но у него глючная
лицензия:

Модифицированный холостой цикл с дёрганием PLVL_2 нужен только для
KT133, для более новых чипсетов достаточно выставить нужные биты
режимов (проверено на KT400).
