Вот пришло несколько компьютеров с интегрированным звуком. В бумагах было
написано VIA8233 AC97. ALSA при запуске alsamixer пишет via8235.
Настроил всё звук играет но постоянно идут щелчки и треск. Под виндой ничего
подобного не наблюдается.

попробуйте звук убавить :)
У меня вылечилось после того как я в aumix опистил ползунок pcm
где-то до 80.

У меня аналогичная проблема, танцы вокруг "ползунков" ничего не решили :(

Пробовал - непомогает. Уровень звука уменьшается вместе с треском. Но треск не

А звуковой сервер какой? У меня похожие проблемы решились только
обновлением до alsa 0.9.2.

Попробуйте обновить до версии 0.9.2 (или может посвежее уже есть) из
Сизифа. На той алзе, что в коробке - у меня ни встроенный кодек на мамке
толком не работал (CM), ни SB Live!. После обновления SB Live! работает
нормально.
