Есть такая зверюшка - брэндовый десктоп от Comaq - Compaq Evo. В комплекте
лицензионные WinXP и 2000 Prof. Установка - по одному Compaq-у известному
сценарию ;-( Ладно, устанавливаем. Выясняем, что винт 40 гиг одним разделом
NTFS. Откусываем у него 30 гиг себе под комфортное существование. Пытаемся
поставить упомянутый AltLinux, загрузившись с CD-ROM - стандартная
графическая устновка отваливается с ошибкой:
Kernel Panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 01:03
Прочие шаманства вокруг вариантов установки (expert, например) тоже
отваливаются на том же этапе... Кто-нибудь сталкивался с этим?
Перед этим с того же дистрибутива ставила себе на рабочую станцию - все прошло
на ура... Под ним сейчас и работаю.
