01 invalid disk command
В README.bz2 из пакета lilo написано, что эта ошибка может возникать при
попытке доступа к диску, не поддерживаемому BIOS (например, с неверным
номером диска).

Какой диск, какая конфигурация разделов (вывод fdisk -l, содержимое
/etc/fstab)? Что выводит ядро (dmesg) по поводу дисков (можете послать
весь вывод, только предварительно сожмите его bzip2 или gzip)?
Какие ещё операционные системы установлены (и в какие разделы)?
Что записано в /etc/lilo.conf?
Используются ли какие-либо нестандартные способы загрузки (например,
выбор в BIOS загрузки не с первого диска)?
