У меня IBM Xstation-130 на 10-ти мегабитах пасется - нормально,
узким местом тут не сеть, а сам терминал
(у него 80186 внутрях процессором служит),
а вот обычный DX4-100 32м озу и с видюхой S3Trio 1024x768x16 на этой-же сетке
и pxes в качестве софта - заметно быстрее.
Так что 10-ки хватит вполне.

на pxes-е стоит RTL-8029, грузится через etherboot взятый с rom-o-matic
