Универсальных книжек не бывает. Особенно избегайте книг "для новичков и
профессионалов", "с самого начала" и гастролёров типа Стивена Холзнера.
Мне в своё время очень сильно помогла книжка
Робачевский А.М. Операционная система UNIX.
