У меня на правый Ctrl навешено переключение раскладки клавиатуры.
Все работает и в X'ах, и в консоли, и в любом терминале,
запущенном из X'ов. Причем, как в ALM 2.2, так и в 2.0. Напишите
поподробнее как проявляется проблема.

Версия ядра? Модель мамки? Многим людям с мамкой на KT333,
включая меня, помогла перепрошивка BIOS. Посмотрите на сайте
производителя материнки. Помнится, я даже на atmsk.ru все
описал.
