Интересно... А ttf он у Вас видит? Я вот пробовал эту самую
версию 0.9.9 скомпилировать под Slackware 9. Результатов два:
-- из шрифтов опять видны только 8-битные type 1 (которых
в системе вообще-то могло бы и не быть);
-- с клавиатуры не вводится вообще ничего ни при какой
раскладке.
С чего бы это?
