Отвечаю вам и сам себе.
Нашёл гуглем адрес со множеством мелких линуксов, обнаружил там
ramf-1.18.exe
Это pkzip архив dos-sfx, внутри скрипты под дос и лин, ядро, syslinux и
ещё что-то, мне сейчас некогда особо копаться. Там есть некое подобие
busybox'а -- crunchbox, который, кроме прочего, содержит и hdparm,
правда, в весьма урезанном варианте -- только 2 параметра (-c и -d), но
и эти параметры позволили поднять скорость в 7 Mb/sec до 20Mb/sec.
Сейчас этим самым ramf'ом и зеркалирую системы.
