Если бы она была кем-то сделана, то давно лежала бы в пакете.
А так в исходниках есть информация об этом.
Сегодня мне один "пользователь Windows", увидевший,
что в программе (gnucash) в формируемых отчётах кракозябры,
говорит: а есть документация к программе? Я бы там прочитал, как
изменить шрифт, чтобы всё было нормально...
Если каждый будет решать проблемы "у себя", развитие OpenSource
прекратится...

Разработчики этих программ думают об этом.
Пока готового решения нет.
