Какая версия bind? Скорее всего, 8. Если да, то посмотри, ест ли
файлы:
/etc/localtime
/etc/hosts
/etc/services
/etc/protocols
Если какого из них нет, то под root набери команду
touch этот_файл
После чего попробуй еще раз запустить.

Это означает, что у тебя нет дискеты в дисководе.
