Если есть файл /etc/profile.d/qt3dir.sh , то не надо
и после этого - make. Make пишет:

Убедитесь, что установлен пакет libqt3-devel
Распакуйте по-новой examples.tar.bz2
Удалите файл .qmake.cache,
потом
export PATH=/usr/lib/qt3/bin:$PATH
qmake
make
После этого у Вас соберется, но не все.
Если недостаточно, заходите в нужный подкаталог.
В файле *.pro удалите строку, содержащую REQUIRES=
Потом в этом же каталоге
qmake
make
Если после этого не собирается, значит не должно
