Я слышала, что на kde.org стали появляться rpm-пакеты не только для RedHat,
но и (кажется) для Mandrake.
Если таковые найдёте и скачаете, то можно попытаться действовать так:
все мандрейковские rpm-пакеты, относящиеся к новому KDE, поместить в один
каталог, и скомандовать в нём
rpm -Fvh *.rpm
Т.е. очень важно, чтобы это были пакеты именно для Вашего дистрибутива и
чтобы все взаимозависимые пакеты ставились вместе.
