Вы не путайте инсталляцию и работу.
Инсталлятор у Оракла по-жизни не совсем, ибо на джаве писан, заточенный под
определенную версию JRE.
После небольшой свистопляски заводится.
Потом в работе уже "безгондурасен".
Другое дело - 9-ка оракла, уж больно наворочена в плане лишних рюшечек.
Лучше 8.1.6 у оракла версии не было... IMHO
