Быстро, да. Но всё равно ресурсы, отданные библиотеке, потеряны.

О чём и речь. Если жалко ресурсов (пусть их даже хватает), то есть смысл
забыть про одну из библиотек в пользу другой. Но без GTK -- никуда.
