Возникла следующая ситуация.
Есть кафедральный сервер ( 2xP3-1000, 512Mb RAM, ALTLinux Sisyphus) и есть
учебная аудитория в которой стоят 10шт 5x86 в среднем по 8Мб. Хотелось бы
эту аудиторию полностью перевести на линукс потому как занятия там все
проходят по програмированию (pascal, c++,asm) и особой разницы ни
преподаватели ни студенты не заметят при переходе. А новых качеств появится
много хотя бы возможность работы с сетью (пусть даже и в терминале).
Вопрос как бы мне это всё сделать с наименьшими затратами? Если брать
дистрибутивы от альта то они все под i586 ( а 5x86 это максимум i486). Если
пересобирать из сырцов то что именно пересобирать дабы подготовить
минимальную систему и какими путями это лучше делать? Если докции у
кого-нибудь?
Помоему вопрос уже несколько раз звучал и давали чуть ли не HOWTO?
