Модем этот, похоже, старенький; выпущен до принятия стандарта
V.90. Но x2 он все-таки поддерживает.

Здесь удивляет только DIAL, поэтому я бы посоветовал Вам набрать
такую строку atp&g1&m5&wi4 и убедиться, что все записанные
изменения прошли (результат покажите нам). Я уже советовал
звонить на номера 7374727 и 9562288- они у Комстара получше.
У меня проводка в комнате выполнена от шкафа (практически от
телефонной коробки) до модема витой парой - никаких безразрывных
розеток с дикими емкостями внутри. Телефон подключен к выходному
разъему модема (никаких параллельных нагрузок модему). Это очень
важно. Иначе тонкие настройки бессмысленны.
