Ее видно через usbview?
Что говорит команда # service usb status(start)?
Установлен ли пакет usbutils?
у меня:
# rpm -q usbutils
usbutils-0.11-alt1
Про другие ГУИ не знаю, да и не пользую их.
Удобнее:
# gphoto2 -L
# gphoto2 -P
А потом разбираться со скопированными файлами.
