Приветствую уважаемое сообщество!
Наверное, эта тема навязла уже в зубах, но!
Хотелось бы, так сказать, подвести итоги.
Какая же система все же предпочтительнее - reiserfs или xfs.
Сам являюсь давним пользователем и поклонником рейзера...
Знаю, наверное все его плюсы и минусы..
К плюсам относятся:
- ну, естественно очень быстрый log reply после падения...
- быстрая обработка большого количества мелких файлов.
добавляйте ))
К минусам - уже не раз отмечавшееся в рассылке "наползание" одних
файлов на другие, к слову сказать - достаточно легко исправляемое
reiserfschk к относительным минусам, думаю, можно отнести достаточно
долгую работу этой утилиты... Но ни одного файлика за два года работы не
потерялось! А вот с xfs у меня намного сложнее - ставил, не соврать, год
назад - потерял потом на ней кучу файлов и забросил как сырую fs.
Но с тех пор прошло немало времени и, наверняка, многое изменилось..
Хотелось бы знать мнение сообщества - как обращаться с этой новой для
меня fs (только сегодня поставил), каких от нее ждать подводных камней
и т.д. и т.п.
И главное - стоит ли на нее переходить с рейзера? Кто имел опыт?
Поделитесь?
З.Ы. Мм.. Может, стоит вынести тему в талкрум?
