Здравствуйте,
На работе поменял компьютер. Теперь в нем стоит мама Asus P4PE со встроенным
звуком (ADI AD1980 6-channel audio CODEC). Kudzu на первую ставит alsa
драйвер snd-inetl8x0, который упорно молчит. modprobe i810_audio тоже ни чего
хорошего не делает =( Пробовал oss драйвер, который trial с ограничением по
времени 20 мин. работы, но это не дело когда через 20 мин. звук пропадает.
Может кто подскажет какой драйвер использовать?

Посмотрите не стоит ли у Вас громкость на 0( сие есть фича alsa)

Нет программы говорят can't open /dev/dsp...
Я тоже сначала подумал =(

Сделайте modprobe snd-pcm-oss после загрузки snd-intel8x0. Также
запустите alsamixer, поставьте громкость и снимите флаг Mute (кнопкой
'M') как минимум с каналов Master и PCM.
