Ох, и давно это было (во времена Спринга!), но помню, что до посинения
игрался с modprobe, потому как там одна какая-то опция была не очевидна -
по-моему дело касалось системы ТВ - я упорно пытался вотнуть СЕКАМ, а надо
было ПАЛ. Если у Вас не получится, то попробую дома поискать концы.

ЗЫ А симптомы были те же самые - при первом включении что-то показывалось,
но не управлялось никак!
