все делал так, только указывал папку, которая по дефолту для tff-шрифтов была
(/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype) а когда создал папку /usr/share/fonts,
положил туда фонты и прописал в конфигах, то все заработало... Не могу понять
в чем дело с первой папкой... :-\

списов шрифтов с кодировками.
