Здравствуйте,
У меня постоянно возникает такая проблема, при переключении между
графическими консолями (два XFree) звук, проигрываемый через artsd,
начинает искажаться ("булькать"). Как это можно вылечить?

А может у Вас попросту (слишком много|немного, но тяжёлых)
приложений запущено?

Может (на одном XFree KDE, на другом VMware), только штука в том, что
если попереключать эти консоли или развернуть/свернуть vmware на полный
экран булькание исчезает... Так что либо придется отказатся от artsd, либо
одно из двух =)
