ext2 --- старая, хорошая система. У меня используется
только для раздела /boot. На больших разделах не
применяю. Причина --- время от времени в доме рубят
электричество. После некорректного выключения процесс
восстановления на больших разделах занимает
умопомрачительно много времени. Поскольку на /boot
ничего никогда не пишется, а сам он 16М размером, для
него проблема неактуальна. А вот процесс восстановления
ext2 на 20Г разделе настолько медленный, что просто
помереть можно, ожидаючи.
reiserfs --- использую везде, кроме /boot. Не жалуюсь.
Система выжила даже после смерти IDE-контроллера,
сопровождавшейся многочисленными глюками. Естественно,
пришлось гонять восстановление, но данные не
потерялись. После вырубания питания поднимается в
секунды, поскольку журналируемая. Недостаток,
применительно к альтовским дистрибутивам: если всё-таки
умрёт всерьёз (так, что не будет проходить mount)
раздел / с reiserfs, будет получаться kernel panic при
загрузке, а лечить корень весьма муторно, поскольку на
стандартном виртуальном диске, который разворачивается
в память инсталлятором, нет утилит ремонта reiserfs.
ext3 --- не пробовал, не знаю.
соответственно, для /home, ИМХО, reiserfs подойдёт.
