Попробуйте поискать в рассылке за конец лета (август где-то).
По слову Quake3. Там что-то было про ссылку
/usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so -> куда-то, не помню.
Еще в Section "Module"
Load "/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.so"
У меня тогда Tuxracer очень хорошо забегал.
