Hi All!
Я тут как-то писал про мои проблемы с HPT370 и одиночноым винтом
(фуджиком на 40 гиг). Напомню. Суть проблемы заключалась в зависании
ядра на этапе Partition check. Это проявлялось только на ядрах от ALT
(2.4.18 и 2.4.19), на RH и ASP (c ядрами 2.4.18) этого не происходило.
Вчера проапгрейдился слегка на сигейт ST360021A (60 гиг).
Каково же было мое удивление, когда эта проблема с сигейтом
не проявилась! Все работает нормально. Чудеса, да и только! :-))))
Интересно было бы вяснить, при каких обстоятельствах может возникать
указанная проблема.
