А черт его знает, ни в RFC977, ни в RFC2980 такого нет. Видимо, это для
тупых клиентов, которые не могут сгенерировать правильный Message-ID
самостоятельно.

Нет там Quoted-Printable и быть не может - Sylpheed не выдает этот
формат, это сервер неправильно пишет. Вот base64 в заголовках (по
RFC2047) есть (если там были русские буквы); какого черта этот самый
gavrilo.mtu.ru не умеет его раскодировать - не знаю. По крайней мере
news.talk.ru такие заголовки спокойно разбирает.
Вопрос 8-битовых символов в заголовках, думаю, уже порядком надоел всем
подписчикам этой рассылки, т.к. поднимается здесь регулярно.
Еще я никак не могу понять: вообще MIME в ньюсах действует или как?
Кроме пыльного RFC1036 (1987 г.), ничего по поводу форматов сообщений в
ньюсах я не нашел.
