Hi!
Есть комп с материнкой EPoX 8K5A (VIA KT333 + VT8235).
Стоит на ней Мастер.
Винт WesternDigital 40Gb BB-серии
В БИОС выставлен режим DMA-66
Если поставить AUTO то меняется режим UDMA при выводе hdparm
UDMA modes: udma0 udma1 udma2 udma3 udma4 *udma5
Но DMA не работает и при копировании файлов грузит проц под 90%

Попытки включить DMA ни к чему не приводят
[root@mrkooll root]# hdparm -d1 /dev/hdb
/dev/hdb:

HDIO_SET_DMA failed: Operation not permitted

[root@mrkooll root]# hdparm -X66 /dev/hdb
/dev/hdb:
setting xfermode to 66 (UltraDMA mode2)
Segmentation fault
Можно ли как-то включить DMA?
А то при такой скорости винтов машина работает медленнее старого
Celeron на i815 :(
[root@mrkooll root]# hdparm -t /dev/hdb
