Hello All!
Тут уже несколько раз обсуждали но я кажется пропустил...
Я насчет того чтобы держать юзеров в ldap - поставил nss_ldap, pam_ldap,
покорежил ldap.conf, nsswitch.conf и пару файлов в pam.d. Вобщем почти все
работает. Проблема - не пускает юзера на машину если у него нету на ней
домашнего каталога. Если вручную создать каталог и дать нужные права то все
прекрасно. Это можно как нибудь решить кроме как вынесением /home на сетевой
раздел ? Может какой нибудь скрипт из под xdm или что то в этом духе...
К слову сказать, винда создает юзеру домашний каталог при первом заходе.
PS. http://diradmin.open-it.org/index.php - тут лежит неплохая утиль для
управлениями юзерами/группами в ldap. К тому же она идет со спеком для
мандрэйка и прекрасно собирается.

Добавить в /etc/pam.d/system-auth строчку:
session required /lib/security/pam_mkhomedir.so skel=/etc/skel/ umask=0022
