хм, это меня и пугает... что сюда поставить? какого вида адрес должен быть?

блин, эти 10.0.175.* меня совсем с толку сбили

это понятно, алгоритм я понял, но ppp0 если и появляется (по ifconfig), то 
вида:

ppp0      Link encap:Point-to-Point Protocol

и всё
