Пытаюсь привинтить проверку орфографии к Sylpheed-Claws-0.8.1 собственноручной сборки.
Само собой собрал с проверкой орфографии (пакет libpspell-devel-0.12.2-alt3 и
./configure --enable-pspell --with-pspell-libs=/usr/lib --with-pspell-includes=/usr/include/pspell).
К тому же,
[eugene@localhost eugene]$ rpm -qa | grep spell
ispell-ru-lebedev-0.99e9-alt1
ispell-3.1.20-ipl18mdk
libpspell-devel-0.12.2-alt3
ispell-ru-rk-1.1-alt2
libpspell-0.12.2-alt3
pspell-ispell-0.12-alt1
pspell-ispell-devel-0.12-alt1
ispell-en-3.1.20-ipl18mdk
Указал в 'Конфигурация'-'Основные'-'Проверка орфографии'-'Путь к словарям' /usr/lib/ispell.
Там же указал "Включить проверку орфографии (ЭСКПЕРИМЕНТАЛЬНАЯ)".
При попытке написать письмо выскакивает ошибка:
ОШИБКА
Проверка орфографии не может быть запущена.
I'm sorry I can't find any suitable word lists for the language-tag "Нет"
Что это значит?

1) pspell все-таки ориентирована больше на aspell - попробуйте поставить
словари для aspell (хотя с ними существенно медленнее работает поиск
вариантов для замены - но якобы работает лучше, чем в ispell).
2) Если используется pspell-ispell, нужно рутом выполнить:
cd /usr/share/pspell
make-ispell-pwli
Это нужно повторять после установки словарей ispell, чтобы они появились в
списке pspell.

Для aspell надо указывать путь /usr/share/pspell, для ispell возможно так же.
Еще - у меня сборка 8.2claws со своим патчем для поддержки pspell, как в
старые добрые времена. Не работало, пока я не ВЫБРАЛ ТОТ ЖЕ САМЫЙ КАТАЛОГ
вручную. А вообще ispell у меня в 8.2claws не работает, хотя тот же набор
пакетов установлен. но я его и не пытался особо прикрутить...
