Хм. Насколько я помню, именно 2.4.2 (или все же .5?) из Spring
2001 у меня собиралось и даже работало 8-)

Есть серверы ftpmail, которым можно путем запросов подбрасывать
работу... Точнее не расскажу, не пользовался -- нужно помучать
google.
