Ага, они в ORBit2 очень умно всё сделали. Хотя, на X-сервер
возлагается бОльшая нагрузка в связи с антиалиасингом.

Разве Gnome Desktop и ROX не исключают друг друга?
Впрочем, библиотеки оттуда всё равно понадобятся.
