это идеология такая.
не плодить мусорную кучу руками раскиданных виджетов, а изначально задавать для них правила поведения.
вставьте сетку а внее уже виджет. после дельфов это и вправду кажется извратом, но если разобраться - как раз идея каждому виджету присваивать left,width,anchor и еще тыщщу свойств и все равно видеть глюки при отрисовке - вот это маразм.
