Подскажите, где добавляются MIME-типы, которые используются
при отправке вложения. У меня там какой-то скудный список,
причём там нет application/msexcel, из-за чего KMail ставит
туда application/msword, что приводит к ужасным :) последствиям
у получателя.

/usr/share/mimelnk/ или лучше ~/.kde/share/mimelnk/

Так система-то не ломаная. Там все эти MIME-типы есть,
только вот KMail ставит не тот... Легко проверяется на любом
xls-файле. Правда похоже придётся KDE3 ждать и смотреть как в нём будет...
