потому что не стоит изначально закладываться на ограниченную, слабую, с трудом работоспособную БД.
тем более, если есть наработки под окрытую, работоспосоную альтернативную БД.
единственное преимущество файрберда - хорошее сопряжение с интербазой с виндозным сервером и с виндозной дельфи.
нет дельфи - нет файрберда.
так что докрутите постгресс.
я вот переползаю на постгрес как раз с файрберд . счас буду кидать вопросы по постгресу :)
