у меня и вин2к и вин98 тормозят заметно сильнее.
правда компьютеры не ниже p2-450
по поводу сильфиды и ее способностей:
на работе через дайлап нужно было взять письмо из ящика на пару мег объемом.
оутглюк експресс 6 на win2k advanced server два дня старался и не смог. Ошибки выдавал такие, что лучше бы молчал.
сильфида с первого раза это письмо забрала. все...
другой момент: в гноме можно подвинуть окно под модальным, а в вин нельзя. это сильно тяготит.
вобщем, кому что больше нравится, то и надо использовать.
