В молодости я для хождения в интернет использовал IE. В принципе, неплохой браузер (эхх, раскрыть бы его :), и у него было очень полезное свойство: он сохранял страницы и картинки в дисковом кэше определенного размера. Сходил на какой-нибудь сайт, потом вспомнил, что не дочитал какую-то страницу, переключаешься в оффлайн, набиваешь адрес того же сайта, и читаешь. Особенно полезно, когда платишь за трафик.
А вот Галеон так не умеет. Притворяется, что умеет (в настройках можно указать размер дискового кэша), но эффекта от этого не видно. Те же картинки грузятся снова и снова, страницы не запоминаются, и вообще все не очень удобно.
Как это побороть? Я понимаю, что можно установить локальный прокси, но ведь... это должно работать в самом Galeon.
И еще один чайниковатый вопрос: Galeon пытается использовать собственный кэш, или делит его с Mozilla? В таком случае, вопрос ставится уже не столько о галеоне, сколько о Mozilla.
