А какие именно были сообщения, какая версия устанавливалась? В
некоторых версиях была ошибка в зависимостях - забытый PreReq на
libcups, в результате чего пакет samba-common мог установиться
раньше libcups, в этом случае makesmbcodepage ругался на
невозможность загрузки libcups.so.2.
Чтобы исправить, нужно либо переустановить samba-common с
--replacefiles --replacepkgs, либо посмотреть скрипты (rpm -q
--scripts samba-common) и запустить генерацию нужных файлов
вручную.
