;-) А вы поищите ещё один php.ini. Их может быть два.
Один, как правило, в /etc, другой - в /etc/httpd
Установить, какой из них для кого (для php и для mod_php) опытным путём я не
смог, поэтому сделал, что в /etc у меня файло, а в /etc/httpd - симлинк на
него.
...и не забудем снова перегрузить апач...
