Так и сделал.
cache_mem 1 MB
maximum_object_size 0 KB
> дописать proxy-only. Тогда кэш там только директориями толстый :))
Это тоже решил:
cache_dir ufs /var/spool/squid 1 1 1
Вроде все работает. Ура!
