У меня ISP == lic145.kiev.ua, поэтому речь скорее о статистике
"для себя"... сбор мыслей pppd по этому поводу я организовал
где-то в середине сентября:

Ну и на последнем десктопе в WM висит куча прозрачных aterm'ов --
/var/log/messages, trafshow (черный :-/), reminders, bandwidth
monitor, ну и tailf с примерно таким видом:
time: 00:01:39 bytes: 122840 [17967+104873] bps: 1240
time: 00:03:55 bytes: 487696 [61905+425791] bps: 2075
time: 00:03:21 bytes: 147081 [54536+92545] bps: 731
Удобно для наблюдения -- а так dock подзабит полезными вещами.
Вот думаю -- может, сделать пакетик с "богатым" десктопом для WM?
Единственная проблема, которую сейчас вижу -- придется завязаться
на какое-то минимальное разрешение, скорее всего 1024x768 (хотя
можно и 800x600).
