В принципе, если вы настроили принтер под CUPS на одном компьютере,
там нужно в настройках одну опцию поставить, и этот принтер будет виден у вас
на всех компьютерах в сети, и даже не нужно его на локальном cups настраивать.
Сейчас не помню только, как. Но в документации это описано.
Так как вы, я тоже пробовал, и у меня тоже не получилось :)
Сейчас у меня по необходимости печать идёт через samba,
а первый вариант, который я описал, раньше работал...
